Getting started

What is Doctor Prescription Maker?

It is an offline prescription app for doctors, available for macOS, Windows and Android. You keep your medicine list, patients and prescriptions on your own device, choose from nine designed templates, and print or share professional PDF prescriptions with your logo and signature.

Do I need internet to write a prescription?

No. The app works fully offline. It only needs a connection occasionally to check your subscription and to download updates.

Is there a web version?

The website is for information and downloads. Prescriptions are written in the desktop and Android apps, so that they work offline and records stay on your device.

How long does setup take?

About two minutes: your name, qualifications, registration number, clinic details, logo and signature. You can write a first prescription straight after.

Which devices are supported?

macOS 12 or later (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), and Android 8 or later. An iPhone and iPad version is planned after the Android launch.

Pricing and the free plan

How many prescriptions are free?

Your first 10 finalized prescriptions are free, counted across all your devices, with no card required. Drafts are unlimited and never count.

What does Pro cost?

Pro is ₹399 per month or ₹3,990 per year in India (two months free), including GST. Other countries are priced locally and the exact amount is shown before you pay.

Can I subscribe on my phone and use it on my computer?

Yes. One subscription covers every device signed in to your account, whether you bought it in the Android app, the desktop app or on the website.

What happens if I stop paying?

The app returns to the free plan. Everything you already created stays on your device and remains readable and printable.

Does a corrected prescription count as another one?

Yes. Correct & reissue creates a new finalized prescription, so it uses one; the original is kept and marked as replaced.

Templates and look

How many templates are there?

Nine: Classic, Compact, Minimal and Pre-printed letterhead are free; Executive, Modern, Clinical two-column, Elegant and Formal are part of Pro.

Can I change colours and fonts?

Yes. On every template you can choose an accent colour, a typeface (clean sans, humanist, classic serif or typewriter), a text size, and whether the QR code is printed. You can set your favourite look as the default.

Can I add my logo and signature?

Yes. Upload your clinic logo, signature (or draw it with your finger or mouse) and an optional stamp once; they appear on every prescription.

Will an old prescription change if I change my template or colours?

No. A finalized prescription stores the exact template version and look it was issued with, so it always reprints identically.

Can I print on my own letterhead?

Yes. Use the Pre-printed letterhead template, which leaves the top of the page free for your stationery.

Records, corrections and the QR code

Can I edit a prescription after finalizing it?

No — a finalized prescription is locked, like a signed paper one. If you spot a mistake, use Correct & reissue: it opens a copy, you fix it and finalize, and the original is marked “Corrected — replaced by” the new number. Both remain on record.

What is the QR code on the prescription for?

It lets a pharmacist, patient or insurer scan the prescription and confirm it is genuine and has not been changed. The verification page shows only the prescription number, issue date, doctor and status (valid or revoked) — never the patient’s name, diagnosis or medicines.

Can I turn the QR code off?

Yes, in the template and look options. We recommend leaving it on, since it is what lets others trust a printed prescription.

Can I revoke a prescription?

Yes. Revoking keeps the prescription on record but marks it revoked, with a reason, and the QR page then shows it as revoked.

Can I save a PDF or share it on WhatsApp?

Yes. Save as PDF or print on desktop; on Android the share sheet sends the PDF to WhatsApp, email or any app.

Privacy and security

Where is my patients’ data stored?

On your own device, in an encrypted database. The key is held in the operating system’s secure keystore. We do not keep patient records on our servers.

What do you store about me?

Your account (email, name), your subscription state, and the minimum needed for QR verification: prescription number, verification code, issue date, your name and registration, and revoked status.

Who can see my patients’ data?

Only you, on your device. There is no administrative access to patient records because they are not on our servers.

Is patient data used for analytics or advertising?

No. There are no ads, and no patient names, diagnoses or medicine details are ever sent to analytics, logs or error reports.

What if I lose my device?

Records are encrypted, so a lost device does not expose them. Keep an encrypted backup export; automatic encrypted backup and multi-device sync are planned.
